Saturday Night Fever

Description

A female Wood Duck is strutting her stuff on a log after the sun has gone down over the horizon. All eyes are on this disco duck flash dancing at the pond and it reminds me of the famous dance scene in Saturday Night Fever. This was a challenging shot in conditions that changed rapidly as the sun went down. I had two flashes set up and waited. The Wood ducks often went on this log so I set up every night for about a week until this finally happened. I sat quietly by with a remote shutter release
